1978年奈良県出身。電子音楽家、SjQリーダー。ソロプロジェクトのSonirでは、独自のソフトウェアgismo(ぎずも)を使ってコンピューター内の生態系から音楽を生み出す。
制作・研究のテーマは一貫して「生命の躍動(相互作用や生態系による)から音楽を紡ぐこと」。慶應義塾大学SFCにて「メディアデザイン」プログラムに所属、2011年博士号取得(政策・メディア)。ニューヨーク電子音楽祭をはじめ、バルセロナ、ベルファスト、コペンハーゲンなど、国際的な公演を行う。東京工科大学、慶應義塾大学などで講師。アヴァン・ポップとアカデミズムのクロスオーヴァーを試みる。2013年、音と映像を組み合わせたプロジェクト「SjQ++」が、メディアアートの国際的アワードであるアルス・エレクトロニカ/準グランプリをデジタル・ミュージック部門にて受賞。

Yuta Uozumi, a sound artist and agent-base composer was born in the suburbs of Osaka, Japan. He started computer music at the age of fifteen. He received his master degree in Media Design from Keio University SFC Graduate School of Media and Governance.
He is studying Multi-Agent based dynamic composition with computer or human ensemble.
Works: In 2002 His CD “meme?” was released from Cubicmusic Japan(under the name of SamuraiJazz). In 2003 agent-based musical interface “Chase” was accepted by NIME(International Conference on New Interfaces for Musical Expression), it is a collaborative project by system-designer,DSP engineer and performer. In 2005 an application for  agent-based composition “Gismo” and a piece created with the system “Chain” (early version) were accepted by ICMC(International Computer Music Conference). In 2013, His project named “SjQ++” won the Award of Distinction for the Digital Music category of Prix Ars Electronica.
